Arturo Sánchez Pineda

Scientific depth.
Operational leadership.

I am Arturo Sánchez Pineda: physicist, infrastructure leader and educator. I contributed to the Higgs discovery with ATLAS and served as an ATLAS TDAQ system administrator at CERN. Today I lead IT infrastructure at INAIT, co-founded and co-coordinate the Creative Commons chapters in Venezuela and Switzerland, run CoAfina for the Americas and build programmes that connect people to science. I work in Spanish, English, French and Italian.

Venezuelan. Based in Switzerland.

ATLAS Open Data · 2016–2020

Opening a door to real particle physics.

ATLAS Open Data brought real collision data into classrooms and onto ordinary computers. I helped develop the platform and lead the work around it.
